Fully embracing the new standard, the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero offers abundant Gen 5 support to give unfettered bandwidth to the fastest SSDs and graphics cards available. The ROG Maximus Z790 Hero features three onboard M.2 slots, all of which can deliver impressive read and write speeds of up to 8 GB/s. The additional slots ride on the ROG Hyper M.2 Card, providing the option to deploy both a PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 drive under a large heatsink that ensures optimal temperatures.
