Q: Will I receive the EXACT parts advertised?

A: Yes, 99% of the time you will, but while we keep the stock levels as accurate as humanly possible, it IS possible for something to sell out - either between the last update and your order, or between your order and receiving payment. If this happens, we will notify you and offer you a similar or better part if available, or the option of a refund.

Q: Are all parts brand new?

A: Yes, all components we sell other than open box items (which are never used for upgrade kits) are brand new and will have their factory seals in place. The exception will be the CPU and motherboard (see the next question), as well as RAM if it's a kit (see the last question). If you would prefer we DON'T install the CPU and update the BIOS on the motherboard, please add a comment to your order requesting this. All parts (other than kits of RAM - single modules will still be sealed) will then be sent to you factory sealed.

Q: I'm worried about bending pins when installing the CPU

A: We install the CPU and update the motherboard's BIOS to the latest version. This not only ensures that you won't damage pins when installing the CPU, but also ensures that the system boots. The CPU will be left in the socket for delivery, and the stock cooler (if the CPU comes with one) will be in the CPU's box.

Q: Can parts be swapped out? For example, I want different RAM, or a different motherboard.

A: Yes! Our kits comprise of the best selling combinations of hardware based on our sales records as well as experience in selecting components that are compatible with one another.

There are quite literally millions of possible hardware combinations. If we take just 15 CPUs, 50 motherboards, and 100 different RAM options - a tiny fraction of what we offer - there are already 75,000 possible combinations. Add to that one of just 5 coolers and just 30 of the hundreds of SSDs we offer, and this number jumps to more than 11 MILLION combinations.

If we look at numbers more representative of our actual offerings (more than 60 current CPUs, more than 120 current motherboard, more than 500 RAM options, more than 250 current SSDs and more than 100 coolers, the number approaches 100 BILLION combinations.

Q: I want a different component, but I'm not sure whether it's compatible with the rest of the kit.

A: Feel free to contact us and we'll confirm for you.

Q: Do I get all the packaging for the components?

A: Yes, you will receive all packaging and accessories so that if you ever need to return something (or even sell on at a later stage), you have everything you need to package it securely. The only exception is in the case of OEM or tray CPUs, which don't come with retail packaging. These items will be clearly indicated on the product pages.

Q: Can you install the RAM or cooler for me?

A: Unfortunately not. Once RAM is installed, the motherboard is too tall to fit in its original packaging. Likewise, once the cooler is installed it becomes very difficult to securely package.

Q: The kit of RAM I received wasn't factory sealed.

A: Kits of RAM are opened by the distributors to add serial number stickers to the modules. The manufacturers assign each module its own unique serial number, with neither the distributors nor we can track (as only one serial number can be tied to a single product, with a kit of RAM being a single product). Rest assured, your RAM is brand new.
